BrightKit is a brand of Deeun Inc., a company based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. We build educational apps for children ages 5–14. Our website is brightkit.app and our apps are available on the Apple App Store.
Our apps collect no personal information whatsoever. There are no user accounts, no login screens, no email addresses, and no names required to use any BrightKit app. All quiz progress, scores, and streaks are stored locally on the user's device using Apple's on-device storage. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Our website (brightkit.app) uses standard server logs that may record your IP address and browser type when you visit. This is standard for all websites and is not used to identify you personally.
BrightKit apps are designed for children and we take their privacy extremely seriously. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13. Our apps require no personal information to function and collect none.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently collected information about your child, please contact us immediately at support@deeun.com and we will delete it promptly.
Some BrightKit apps use Firebase Analytics (by Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — such as how many times a screen is viewed or when a purchase is initiated. This data contains no personal identifiers and cannot be used to identify any individual user. It is used solely to improve app performance and user experience.
BrightKit apps offer optional subscriptions and one-time purchases through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We never see, store, or process any payment or billing information.
Our apps may use the following third-party services: Apple App Store (distribution and payments), Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage data), and ElevenLabs (voice synthesis in SpellChamp only). None of these services receive personally identifiable information from our users.
Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing to retain or delete. All app data lives on your device and can be removed by deleting the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage parents to review this policy periodically.
